Guest sweetheart-little Posted January 4, 2017 Report Posted January 4, 2017 I've been trying to do some research on what exactly a "protector" is, I know it is in the BDSM community. However, could someone in the DDLG community have a "protector" and could someone better explain what a protector would be? Everything I have googled hasn't given me much advice. I know kittens who have protectors but what about littles? Is this only subjected to one type of community? If anyone could shed some light on this topic that would be awesome or better explain what a protector really is.
Guest Daddy F Posted January 4, 2017 Report Posted January 4, 2017 Well, having been exclusively in the BDSM community for over a decade before breaking in to any subsets here is how I understand it A protector is almost exactly, what it sounds like. They watch over the submissive, make sure those that are considering taking them on fully are good people by helping research them.theyre almost like a gatekeeper of sorts. The submissive trusts this person enough to let potential suitors be passed through them and usually take serious consideration in the fact the protector doesn't trust someone if that happens. Could there be a protector in the DD/lg world? Of course there could be! If there is trust between two that this arises why not? Mind....if you are considering someone as a protector might they go considered as your caregiver directly? Be careful not to miss out on what might be right in front of you.
Guest sweetheart-little Posted January 4, 2017 Report Posted January 4, 2017 Thank you for the explanation, very helpful!
