Random thought... hand-holding

So Daddy and I were holding hands in the car the other day. He held his hand out and I accidently grabbed it with my hand on top (which feels so wrong). And it made me wonder....

 

If you are a Daddy, is your hand naturally on top when holding hands most of the time or on bottom?

Littles, same question goes for you.

 

The answer really doesn't matter, human psychology just intrigues me.

I love holding hands and will do it in a multitude of ways. Palm to palm, with my hand on top or bottom, fingers intertwined, or not... Whatever feels the most comfortable depending on how we are situated... Standing, walking,sitting, laying down... Whenever, wherever and however I can get it really!

The hold is that matters. Skin to skin tough is more beautiful then the kiss of lips even. As you say the answer doesn't matter so nor does the position of hand matter but as a DD he/she will try to hold you from up to show that you are cared, wanted and safe. The upper hold is sign of security is what I feel.

I can only hold two of daddy's fingers..my hands are actually the size of his 8 year old brother's hehe

LittleOne my hands aren't much bigger than our 7yr olds... so I get what you're saying there. We don't hold with our fingers intertwined often as it hurts my fingers after much time at all.

 

Thank you all for the answers! It's so weird to me but even in my past relationship my hand can't be on top... it just feels so off.

I guess for us, it depends on the situation. My daddy is super tall (6'4) and I am kinda short (5'4). If we are in the car his hand is normally holding onto my thigh and I'll hold onto the top of his hand. When we walk around the mall or a store my hand is normally behind his. It's all based on comfort for us. I don't like to make me slouch so I can have my hand in front of his. If we are in the car and he holds onto my hand (my hands are always cold and he always wanted to hold them) mine will generally by on top. It's all a personal preference thing, though! I honestly don't car if mine is top or bottom as long as I'm with him.

I always held her hand when we crossed a street or even a parking lot.

 

When she'd get in my truck she always put her hand out. Waiting. I don't really think about who's was on top. Whoever reached out first the other just took it.

Hand holding for me in general ends up depending on the situation. I honestly never realized where my hand lands in the situation.
