NiazKilam Posted December 24, 2016 Report Posted December 24, 2016 I work with children everyday at my day job,and I find it quite hard to control myself from slipping into headspace. Not to mention I'm around candy and toys while I'm there too. Does anyone else face this problem?
Bunniegural Posted December 24, 2016 Report Posted December 24, 2016 i work with kids and in one way it is awesome because you get to do all the fun kid stuff with them and get paid for it. on the other hand, you also have to be the adult in the room: when someone craps themself or throws up, you have to grow up and take responsibility. if it hadn't been for working with kids, i probably wouldn't have realised i was a little, and that having someone else 'be the adult' is something i need every so often. when i'm teaching, i really keep my little side on a leash. i think i probably come off as stricter and more serious than other teachers because i am compensating to keep my little side in check. In return, i think i expect a lot of maturity from my kids as well. still, we have our fun, relaxed times. i hope i show my kids there is a season for everything: a time to work hard, be serious and take responsibility and a time to relax and have fun and be silly, that everyone has different sides but they also choose which sides to express when.
Pastel Boi Posted December 24, 2016 Report Posted December 24, 2016 I sort of put on my "big boy" demeanor and become uber serious around children. I've been told I almost appear comical in my attitude at those points but in general it seems to work.
LittleChocolate Posted December 27, 2016 Report Posted December 27, 2016 I embarrass myself a lot by getting overly excited about things and when I try to contain it I come off as Mean, quiet, or rude. So what I do is release the excitement quietly or just in my boyfriends ear. Whether it be about stuffed animals , a cute sweater, etc. I just get it all out around him, and then embrace my little moments subtly ... just try to slightly stop caring what other people think ...,, at least you have joy, most adults don't have the luxury f being a little 1
kissingkitten Posted December 28, 2016 Report Posted December 28, 2016 (edited) Sometimes I am little in public looking at stuffies. Who cares if dey see me huggin a stuffie to see if we are a match or not. I did it today at Walmart. Then I wen to da boba tea shop and was lil while watching Trolls and kik-ing with someone. I don care if the tea girls see me. Dey like me. I have always touched stuffs and don say a lot out loud so I get by without too many weird looks. Edited December 28, 2016 by kissingkitten
