LoralieHaze Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 This sounds less like an issue of clinginess and more an issue of poor communication. When you feel like this, do you ask him if he is upset with you? Does anything else he says/does indicate that he would be upset with you? Have you told him how you feel during these times?
Guest SoloFairy Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 I'm also in a LDR and also used to feel that way when Daddy would tell me to go to bed. I would think "Doesn't he want to talk to me?? Is he not enjoying my company?? Is he getting tired of me??" The best thing to do is voice your concerns and let him know how it makes you feel. Give him the opportunity to make it better. Daddy explained to me (many times...he's very patient lol) That I need to go to bed early so that I get enough sleep to function the next day, so that he has time to do Daddy things (like make rules, journal, read about various things), and I have anxiety surrounding him falling asleep before me so he likes to make sure I'm asleep first. I still complain about bedtime sometimes (even asking for an even earlier bedtime lol) but I don't feel upset over it anymore and really that came with time and confidence in our relationship.
