Carpet Bombing Replies

So I was looking through the personals on a lark and noticed there is a member of the site, however new, that 'carpet bombed' seven or eight posts from littles with the sa,e exact response.

 

Made me curious so I'll ask

 

As littles or Daddies how do you respond when you see a message from someone on your personals three who has done this?

What does carpet bombed mean?

Daddy F means they are posting identical responses - laying out a "carpet" or "blanket". Like in a cartoon the character will lay out a blanket and when someone or something gets in the middle of it they draw it up and snatch them in it like a sack. (Where the term comes from).

 

Personally I find it upsetting. I put a lot of effort into my communication regardless of who I am talking with. If you don't have the time to respond to what I am saying, I won't bother with you either. But I'm sure it works in some cases because either the original poster will not realize this is being done, or they will hope that things will improve from there. I would like to say now that I am of the opinion that this wonto evolve into something meaningful, but it might work if you are mostly interested in just experiencing a lot of different people. That's perfectly fine if that's what you want, but don't expect a deep relationship with someone who is doing this.

 

To those who are carpet posting, please remember that it is simple to create your own ad and you are more likely to attract people who are genuinely interested in you.

That is a very good question. Also, you taught me a new term as I had never heard of carpet-bombing before.  The term really is very accurate!

There are sites where there isn't a moderator on sight to care about blanket response,let alone treat them as spamming.

 

It goes without saying but let's say it: Any answer to your personal must show that a human being has actually read it,give at least one credible reason why it was picked up,and preferably have a number of words not too small in proportion to what you have written !

That is so true DollDirector! btw... LOVE your name!

 

It's so annoying when you put in the work to tailor the personal ad to your wants and needs and get back a three word response from potential suitors (haha I feel so grown up saying suitors!). On this site, any replies to a personal ad have a 75 word minimum requirement of actual relevant words and not just filler words.  

 

I think that having mods on site to ensure the quality of such posts really helps make this place a great place to be!
