Spirit World

So, I am a bit nervous to make this post but aware that some littles here are witches or familiar with spirits. I've been told that I seem to be an empath and I am drawn to stones, I collect them but tend to be very picky about which ones I pick bit never know why.

Lately, I've been experiencing things at night that, to be honest, frighten me and I'm not certain what to do about it. While the psychological world would want to say I may have issues, this is not a regular occurrence and it's like my attention is being sought. A soft giggle, my door moving then closing again, my bed is what I've noticed most though. It's been shaking almost. One friend has told me that some spirits just want acknowledgement. I just am honestly scared and seeking advice. So, while I hope no one gives negative feedback telling me I'm nuts, I really just want to see what those that are witches or such have to say about this. Thanks!

The solution could be as simple as asserting your dominance over the space!

Show it no fear, and tell it loud and clear that this is your home and that they are not welcome into it, and that they need to leave.

The activity may continue, or even worsen, but don't waver- assert yourself. It will have no choice but to leave.

If it would help you feel better, get some sage to burn and smoke out every corner of the house. It's a very cheap and effective way to cleanse your home of a lesser spirit.

I was advised to try a welcoming approach in case it or they meant no real harm before trying to assert dominance though, in case the presence was to see it as a threat and become harmful.... Plus, hard to assert dominance over anything as a little in my case...lol. However, I really appreciate you answering without making me feel crazy, thank you so much. Edited by cinderella

Haha, I do understand. My only advice there is to be very, very cautious when exercising a welcoming approach.
Especially if you're hearing giggles and experiencing things that could be called playful- like doors opening and beds shaking.

Demons often disguise themselves as children or playful beings, so just stay on your guard when being nice to it!

Thank you, truly. I'm hoping tonight is better. But, if not, Sage it is.

I definitely second the useage of Sage. Also, you can surround your bed in a salt circle to help prevent the shaking etc. In addition, you can make your intent known. So for example:

I welcome friendly guests, but those who wish harm are not welcome here

while you sage will help do the trick. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. I have been practicing for around 15 years now and have encountered a lot of various spirits  :)

it could def be something trying to get your attention or asking for help. but if you're not ready, just say so, ask it to stop and to move on. spectre gave really good advice, stock up on some sage just in case. good luck, and be safe!

Okay, so yesterday I laid out a clarity crystal and an orb, a necklace that stood for me, a penny and my favorite shell button. I had read that symbols of myself and gifts offered were also good ideas. I lit a candle in the rooms I'm in most often and welcomed the presence. I spoke of the fear that I had felt and that I meant he/she, it, or them no harm, that by closing my bedroom door I did not mean I was shutting anyone out, that I had always done that, but would start leaving it open during the day if that would help.

While all that may sound crazy to some people, there was no door sounds or laughter last night, though my bed was still disturbed. I felt no draw to take action today, but am considering the salt circle tonight, just worried what my parents will say, lol. Thank You all.
