mollysaskia Posted December 3, 2016 Report Posted December 3, 2016 I recently ordered a paci online and am wondering if/how you guys sterilise them? I read online that people put them in boiling water for a few minutes or put them in the microwave, but I have plans to glue cute little things onto it and am worried the glue may melt Are sterilising wipes designed for baby bottles and pacifiers okay to use by themselves? I know bacteria on pacifiers is a worry for young babies but I'm wondering if I have to worry as much? What do you guys do? Thank you!
BigTyler Posted December 3, 2016 Report Posted December 3, 2016 An alcohol swap would do the trick. Just let it dry before putting it back in your mouth
kissingkitten Posted December 4, 2016 Report Posted December 4, 2016 I use alcohol wipes too. Don't forget to wip where the two pieces meet and the part of the paci that covers the lips.
mollysaskia Posted December 5, 2016 Author Report Posted December 5, 2016 Thanks guys!! I'll buy some
Daisies&Donuts Posted December 6, 2016 Report Posted December 6, 2016 I know you've already gotten your answers, but if you use a high-heat glue gun to glue the decorations on,you should be able to boil it no problem you probably only need to boil it for like a minute to sterilize it. I recommend this one ( https://www.amazon.com/Surebonder-H-195-Mini-Detailed-Glue/dp/B00IA8WLQA )because it has an extra fine "detail" tip so you don't get gobs of molten glue all over the place. It is extremely hot, so I don't recommend using it while in little space if you get clumsy.
