I have been struggling on which one sounds better. So, I want you guys to pick it. Which ever has the highest, then I will use it. Please read them really well and pick your favorite. Thanks in advance!! <3

1. At the age of five, a wealthy, military family adopts Sirrah Winters.  At first it is a dream come true.  Until the stares began.  They were followed by whispers and jokes.  By (insert her age), Sirrah Winters wishes she had never been adopted.  She is different from them, with her charcoal skin tone.  That much is obvious.  She doesn't feel like she'll ever fit in.  Does family only go skin deep or is love the only thing that matters?

2. Being adopted into a wealthy, white, military family would be anyone’s dream, the money and privilege behind it. However, Sirrah Winters does not see it that way with the constant whispers, stares, and jokes; Sirrah begins to feel as though it was a huge mistake that the Winters’ family had adopted her, when she was only five years old. Since then, Sirrah has always known that she is different than they are with her charcoal skin tone.

3. Sirrah Winters is 16, old enough to know that  she is different from her siblings with her dark skin.  She is old enough to understand what the strangers on the streets are whispering.  Old enough to know the meaning behind her "friends" teasing.  Maybe that's why she begins sheltering herself, becoming more and more introverted.  She knows what people think when they see that her siblings are a different color than her.

4. 16 years old Sirrah Winters; a dark skin girl with smarts and a generous heart and growing up with 3 other siblings who are light skin to medium brown, sometimes does not settle right with Sirrah. She endures a lot of bullying and teasing from strangers and supposed friends. Feeling her insecurities arising inside of her, Sirrah now begins to become sheltered and introverted. Be the question, someone that can lift Sirrah's spirits about her skin color?
