Our first munch

Daddy and I will be going to our first munch this weekend and I just wanted to know from others what I should expect.

Daddy and I have been talking about going to a munch for a while but it makes me anxious so we agreed that our first one would be for the DC littles group, so it is only for age players and care givers. Daddy is an extrovert so he usually has no problem with things like this but I am your textbook shy introvert. He said I don't need to talk to anyone if I don't want to, which is helping, but really I just want to know what to expect.

Tips? Advice? TIA!

I'm not from where you are, but I've been to lots of munches in my area. I really, really enjoy them! If a munch where you are from is anything like a munch where I'm from, it's basically a very lowkey event usually held at a restaurant or public meeting place where kinksters can meet up, enjoy a meal together, and just get to know each other. Unlike a play party, munches are usually really informal and casual, and are almost always "vanilla" in the sense that there aren't any kink activities going on and you are meeting in the general public. It's a lot of fun, especially if you are shy and a little worried about diving right into the local scene.

 

My suggestions are to bring someone with you, which you are!, and to message the host of the munch first to let them know you're excited about going, introduce yourself, and ask any questions you have! I found that getting in with the munch leader (who is now one of my close friends) made me much more secure and comfortable attending the first time.

A munch is exactly as I said above -- It's a public event where kinky individuals can get together in a "vanilla" setting, which is usually more lowkey than a play party or a dungeon, and meet each other. It's a great way to break into the community in a way that doesn't make you feel too "out", I guess would be a good way to put it? They are usually located at restaurants, and involve a meal. Hence the "munch" part!

How does one find a local much to try and go to? I would like to find other kinksters like us but I'm not okay with FetLife's atmosphere.

I found out about our local one by typing in "Littles Munch" on google. There is a listing of a bunch of littles munches and you just scroll through to find them nearby. Ours happens to be DC but they are all over the place.

I'm just like u princess Alison. Daddy and I have our first munch next month that daddy found on FetLife. I'm not at all one to be out networking/meeting new people but my daddy is very outgoing. I think it'll help that my best friend (who is also a little) will be joining us but I'm worried I won't quite fit in. I'm hoping it will be no big deal and I'll at least be able to say I met some interesting people while there. Let us know how it goes!!!
