aj_21 Posted November 4, 2016 Report Posted November 4, 2016 I made the decision to bleach and then tone my hair with a violet blonde toner. I have had my hair bleached at a salon before but that hair has all grown out. So the guy said do your roots first then the tips. So last night I tried to bleach my hair. Top and front sides close to the roots are perfect...palest lemon blonde. The rest of my hair a complete fail. It didnt process fast enough and lost barely any colour at all. Its still pretty much my normal dirty blonde colour. I didnt put my toner in. I washed out the bleach and then when I realised I messed up I conditioned my hair and put coconut oil in it and left it. So now its the next day and I really really need to re bleach it. Is it gonne be okay to do this?!?! I wont be re bleaching the roots cause they are fine. The rest of it is basically not bleached at all? Do you think it would be ok to redo it for about 20-30mins. Tips to minimise damage? I do use the coconut method. Heeelp mee xx
Guest LiddlePwincess Posted November 4, 2016 Report Posted November 4, 2016 Ive bleached my hair day after day when I had silver/white hair and it was fine. Toner really screws up your hair though so if you do re bleach it make sure to be kind to your hair afterwards. Lay off heat tools for the next couple of days and buy some violet shampoo. Low vol bleach and 20 mins is all you need. The violet shampoo works wonders and gets rid of any brassy tones without causing further damage. But if you use it right after bleaching you will have purple toned hair so be warned=P 1

Strawberry Sprinkles Posted November 4, 2016 Report Posted November 4, 2016 (edited) Coconut Oil and Olive Oil are my favorite ways to hydrate and medicate your hair. Stick your hair in a walmart sack or hair bun and sleep in it over night. If you messed up the first time, I'd bit the bullet and try to get a professional to fix it. If you're really wanting to DIY it, I'd let the hair rest for a week. Better safe than sorry! I bleached my hair /once/ and it murdered my ends.... Granted, my hair is down to my waist. You could always go Melanie Martinez and have two different colored sides. It'd make for adorable pigtails! [Image Link] I know Spat has some temporary conditioning colors I used to use in my hair. It disappeared after a week or two (depending on the color). Since you're going to have to re-bleach anyways, it could be fun to try a new style! Edited November 4, 2016 by Strawberry Sprinkles
