Atomisk2121 Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 I wanted to ask some of you folk that have been in the community a while about DD/LG relationships and gaming. I am a huge gamer and in the "normal" world lots of people look down on it (as you may know). I was lucky enough to spend time with a little that was already into gaming as much as I am so that worked out great! When I talk with potential new littles/middles, however, I ask them about it and they seem indifferent to it. Are there any of you that play games together? How does it affect your relationships, if at all? Do you play while in little/middle space or is it reserved to other times? What do you littles/middles think of a daddy/cg that loves gaming if you yourself are not into it?
Strawberry Sprinkles Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 I'm a Middle with a boyfriend who is not a Daddy. We recently bought Minecraft and play together. We both game, although I'm a filthy casual and he likes to go to and be an operator at gaming tournaments. Where I live, gaming isn't frowned upon by my peers so I suppose I don't have a stigma attached to it. Me and my partner are both homebodies so gaming together gives us an activity we both enjoy. Frankly, I'm bored when I have downtime with nothing to do. If I didn't have video games, I'd go crazy. Now, me and my partner are into different games. He's an Nintendo fanboy (think Zelda) and I enjoy MMOs. Even though I don't like the kind of games he does, I love watching him have fun.
PapaMax Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 This was a big part of my relationship too and I blog about the best games for dd/lg play, well, I've only done one so far, but I promise more!
Guest *Aurora* Posted October 23, 2016 Report Posted October 23, 2016 I know for myself I am a gamer through and through. Certain games even make me go into middle space.
PrincessClara Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 My Daddy and I are both gamers. We play everything from card games, to board games to LARPs together. I don't really experience the "looking down" upon gamers....there is a huge gaming circuit here. I know in the past it has been stigmatized, but I feel like in the last several years especially it is more commonplace and less frowned upon.
HeCallsMePrincess Posted October 24, 2016 Report Posted October 24, 2016 at this point, I'm used to it. but I don't like it. mostly because gaming takes his attention from me most of the time. we've had past issues with it, but he wont give it up or stick to a time limit. he's pretty much an addict, I think. also, I know many gamers in the vanilla world.
