Organic Mathemaitics - DD#007

This is one of the mixes I recorded last month. The aim of recording is to recognise places for improvement, and notice well executed maneuvers so they can be emulated. This is done through listening to each of the recordings; again and again...

 

I don't publish every piece because most of them use, what are currently for me, still experimental techniques. 

 

The aim of publishing is to encourage others to give me feedback. I come from a background of public speaking and performance poetry. I have very thick skin, and heartily welcome constructive criticism on my mixes or any of my writing. 

 

This particular recording was my first attempt at sampling something I had very recently seen on the screen. I matched it with both key, as well as beat, and planned the songs to build the mix by not relying on genre. Rather, I focussed on developing the mix through an intended theme... It's a shorter version of the big room, lives sets that I look forward to performing. It's gonna take considerable practice to get really creative, spontaneous, and outstanding on the fly.
