Make Up Tips

Okay. So.

I do not know how to make the face up.

I'll admit it freely.

Most of my fancy photos are just slapped on red lipstick and camera filters. My best friend/occasional submissive does all my makeup, and I just sort of sit there because I literally cannot do what she does.

So I need the help of people who do know what they are doing.

I want a brand of lipstick that does bright reds and dark colors that is a matte (preferably), looks bad ass, but most importantly /will not fade or smudge/.

I'm a teacher, a student, and a polyamorous person. I need lasting color. Help me.

Rimmel London has Provocalips 16 Hour "kiss proof" liquid lipstick. I have it in the color play with fire. You put on the color part and let it dry a bit then use the gloss topcoat to seal it and keep it on. It works pretty well. Can drink stuff and go all day and it stays on well. I have the red and a nude color and they both work awesome.

While I wouldn't say I'm an expert at making the face up, I will say that I'm rather knowledgeable about the products in which to do it.

The only lip product I know of that will absolutely never fade or smudge is Lip Ink, and if I remember correctly, it can only be removed with a special remover. Anything else you use is going to come off eventually, but there are certain ones that take longer than others and certain steps you can take to prolong the inevitable.

My biggest suggestion here is matte lipstick, and my favorite range is Wet N Wild MegaLast. (I have 16 of them.) I also like MAC and Urban Decay's matte lipsticks but they're $15/$20 and occasionally tend to smudge on me. The Wet N Wild ones are very inexpensive, come in an array of both bright and dark shades, feel comfortable on the lips, and stay in place very well. If you do a google image search, you can see all the colors they have and pick a few out to try.

My other suggestions are 1) only use the bare minimum of lip balm and absolutely no gloss. Those items will cause the lip color to migrate onto other things/people and to speed up the fading process. 2) Apply one coat, blot very well, apply second coat, blot lightly. This causes the product to "sink" into your lips and create a stain of color. 3) Since dark colors are more pigmented, they leave more pigment behind, creating more of a stain.

Im a huge Jeffee star fan. The recent drama aside I think his liquid lips are AMAZING. Unicorn blood and rich blood are two of my fav colours and they dry down. They are also eye safe and can be used anywhere on the face/body and come in a lot of different colours.

As some people have suggested already, the Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks are long lasting and pigmented af. He also has a few different shades of red. While I am not a fan of the man himself, his makeup products are flawless. Well worth the money, in my opinion at least. As with all liquid lips, make sure to exfoliate you lips with a lip scrub or a toothbrush just to ensure a smooth application.

Tarte cosmetics might also be worth checking out.

NYX makes tons of different colored liquid lipsticks called nyx soft lip cremes. They're 6 dollars and you can find them at ulta, some cvs's, and online. Nyx in general is a really cool brand of makeup at the drugstore, it's a lot more creative with their colors and such than most drugstore brands.

For cheaper starting makeup I would recommend Colourpop. Most make up is at $5-8 across all types of makeup (lip, eyes, brows, face, highlighters, etc.). They also have great deals and a coupon of sorts for first time buyers. The Ultra Matte Lips are matte, come in a variety of reds and dark colors and stay put. The Ultra Matte Lip formula can be drying for some, so lip balm is handy.

https://colourpop.com/

I highly recommend the colors: ULTRA MATTE LIPS: Creeper or Saigon (true red), Avenue (dark red), and LAX (darker red than Avenue)

I also highly recommend ELF or NYX products- they are cheap and can be found at places like Walgreens, CVS, Target, etc. Other brands like Maybelline or Revlon work as well. Just keep it cheap to start with is my recommendation!

For eye products I recommend to start with nude/brown tones to begin. 4 different colors are all you really need at minimum. Super light shade, light, medium, and a darker shade for adding depth. Light shade on the lid, medium shade in the crease of the eye, darkest shade dabbed in the outer corner of the crease for depth, and super light shade for inner eye corner and above the crease area to brighten things up. Blend with a make up brush- there are packs of brushes available at most stores for relatively cheap. A brush is super helpful- probably your number one most helpful tool! Just use a simple eye makeup brush, should work fine. Just make sure you have a paper towel while you work to wipe your brush off between colors!

Here is a basic image that I do not own that'll give you a base idea: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/y-XOr177ui8/hqdefault.jpg

I also HIGHLY recommend searching youtube, for basic/beginner eye make up OR eye makeup DO's and DON'TS

IN SUMMARY:

Start cheap. Experiment, experiment, experiment! Don't be afraid to start slow. Use the internet as your tool- lots of info to be found!

Well first of all, you must apologize sincerely. Gifts like trips, money, and hot sex are always good ways to make someone feel better and even forget what you've done wrong in the first place, and make sure you keep the compliments coming; don't stop the ass kissing. After that you might want to...oh wait. Wrong kind of "make up."

Sorry, couldn't help myself. B)

Jeffree Star has some of the best liquid lipsticks, imho. I currently have Watermelon Soda, which is a lovely coral red, and Queen Supreme, which comes across as a neon Bubblegum pink. I'm kinda in love.

Try Jeffree stars lipsticks, he's a idiot but he makes quality lipsticks.

My best friend actually uses those when she does my lips, but they're a bit too expensive for me to invest in when she's got literally all the colors! Such a good suggestion though, I really do love his colors.

This is a /really/ good idea. I'll have to check it out!

okays, so I have 3 fav reds.

1. NYX liquid suede. it's a cream lipstick, wand applicator. very red, matte and vivid. also, stays pretty well.

2. Pacifica power of love. it's  a natural, matte stick. goes on smoothly, pretty nice color. feels like you're just wearing chapstick. smells nice.

3. Rimmel Kate Spade lasting finish. a dark, matte red that stays really well and is easy to apply.

you pretty much just put blush (pinkish red) across your nose a bit and under your eyes to make it look like you're "sick" or dolly looking.

Haha, make the face up

One of my personal favorites is the Anastasia liquid lipstick line.

They range anywhere from $18 to $25 and you can find them at Sephora or online. They're EXTREMELY long wearing, don't smudge and don't dry out your lips.

They have super bright to super dark and totally make you feel badass! I'll post the link!

I'm unsure if it's been suggested yet or not (Sorry if it has!), but Kat Von D is my holy grail and go to liquid lipstick for just about everything. It's so incredibly long lasting even without a setting spray which is wonderful and the pigment is beautifully opaque!

There's a pretty full range of reds, from cool to warm tones, and It would depend on your skin undertones as to which one would look the most fabulous  :) And if you're just starting out I would super recommend a lip liner to help you get the shape of your lips looking flawless.

Oh, and for an option that isn't a liquid-set-to-matte the Yves Saint Laurent lippies are have an amazingly hydrating formula.

With love!
