Thanksgiving or Halloween Baking

I am going to be making some oreo cookies into turkeys with chocolate, pretzels and a candy corn nose as well as pecan pie bars for thanksgiving.

I'm thinking about making zombie cookie fingers and pant them all kinds of cool and creepy colours.

Does anyone have any ideas of what they are planning on making?

So glad you brought this up. The thought of Thanksgiving popped into my head yesterday.

Your cookies sound like the cutest ever. Will you please take pics and put them in your gallery so we can see please? I think I saw mentioned that www.pinterest.com has some super ideas for all the holidays. I am a disaster in the kitchen, but try to lend a hand. Enjoy!

Our oven doesn't work so I don't know if I'll be able to do any baking this season >:) I may be able to go to a friends house and bake some cookies or other treats. I'm just not sure right now and I'm super bummed!

aww I am very sorry to hear about your oven.  That would be a bummer for the holidays.

The turkeys that I am planning on making don't need to be baked maybe you can look into something like that.

I really wish I could figure out how to put a picture here so that you could see it.. Maybe I will just add it to my gallery and you can look at it there if you'd like.

I'm having a Halloween-themed birthday party this year so I'm planning on making candy and caramel apples with sprinkles, and sugar cookies shaped like ghosts.

We don't usually go all out and make a big Halloween dinner, so we'll probably just go out

It used to be a pseudo-tradition for me to bake bread for thanksgiving at my Grandmother's house. I love to bake. But I haven't felt well the last two years. But I'm hoping to get back to it this year! Everyone loves my bread because I make it really dense. I love it! I might try a pie too. I've been watching a lot of supernatural, so I'm in a pie kind of mood.

mm Pie. I am hoping this winter when I have more time off of work to be able to learn how to make homemade bread.  Nothing tastes better than warm fresh baked bread.

I just use the white bread recipe in joy of cooking cook book. It's really easy, and super yummy. It smells great, too. I think I knead it too much, though. But that's also what makes my family like it. *Shrugs

Whatever works, works. Don't change a good thing.
