When i'm in college, i tend to freak out a lot and have either a nervous breakdown or panic attack (kind of like now) even when i'm in class. There's a bunch of pressure going on and i can't handle everything happening all at once. I feel like everything is being thrown at me left and right and i feel scared and alone. Any advice on how to handle and get through the transition into college? Please and thank you

its all new so in time you will settle into the routine and new friendships etc will happen naturally, never be scared to start a conversation and join in and always be yourself and people will like you for you, good luck Jaden.

I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed :(

Maybe you can help yourself some of these ways like,

make sure you have a cute backpack to put your things in, and a fun snack.

bring a stuffie with you to class and keep it in your backpack.

Use colored markers or pencils to write your notes.

pay close attention to the teacher and just focus on them. listen to them and do what they say.

try to ask questions when you first think of them, but if you're too shy you can wait until after class.

When you get back home, put on relaxing music for kids.

and when you study, teach your stuffies about what you learned.

Hi Jaden Milk, Hi from your new older sister in DDlg and life...please feel free to read my profile.

I was just like you when I was at Uni. I was carrying a full load of classes, working full time, a member of a Sorority....

Every day, I would wake up to attend 7am classes and throw up blood because I had ulcers.

-I went to the on-campus health center and they found a Dr for me. A GP= General Practitioner is a Dr. that cares for your body's health.

-They found me a Psychiatrist and talk therapist. The talk therapist worked on issues about my family that were interrupting my focus. The Psychiatrist diagnosed me as having ADHD. I started on Adderal and WOW! major improvement.

-I also visited with a career counselor and found that some of my classes didn't serve my goals, dropped those classes. Instead of replacing them, I spent the time taking care of myself, eating right, exercising,

This process has remained with me my whole life. I still see GP's on a regular basis, a Psychiatrist once a month and my talk therapist every Saturday.

Since I don't know what state you live in....I don't know your state's health care benefits opportunities, unless you share where you are with me and I can help you find out what you need to know. You can also look into national health insurance too at https://www.healthcare.gov/

All of this looks overwhelming! Any help I can be, all you have to do is ask. Blessings, Princess

Oh gods! The struggle is real!

It sounds weird but sleep, stay hydrated and pick up a hobby that chills you out. I did a lot of knitting in college and spent a lot of time in what I know understand as little space.

It's all new and scary. It's hectic but school year just started. I thought I'd never adapt but I did. Take time for yourself when you can. Meditation is amazing for releasing that bad juju. A lot of us have been or are currently in some type of post secondary stuff. Don't be afraid to just hop in and blarg all over the place. Even if you just need to debrief (like.. talk not take your pants off.... unless that's your thing, I don't judge) and vent. 99% of the lovelies here are amazing people so you're in a good place!

Don't be afraid to just curl up with a stuffie and shut the world out from time to time. Sometimes in life you just have to pack it in and say "Fuck this shit - I'm going to Narnia"

Dolly xoxo
