Daddylovesme Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 So my Daddy and I both have dietary restrictions, and especially for me... its hard to stay in little space when i can't eat any little foods! I am allergic to Lactose and Whey, and so things like mac n cheese, ice cream, etc, are OUT of the question for me. I'm also allergic to ALMONDS. Daddy is allergic to Peanuts so I can't eat Peanut butter or peanuts around him. I also can't digest Red Meat ( i can eat chicken) or turkey, so the only little foods I CAN eat are pretty much just chicken nuggets and apple sauce. Any suggestions? What kind of other little foods could I come up with? Any one else have this problem? - Jaye
Guest Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 Maybe using cookie cutters to cut your sandwich into cute shapes like hearts or stars? Same thing with like apples or some veggies, you can cut them into little cute shapes and have them with some kind of dip you enjoy. Fruit roll ups maybe as a special treat, animal crackers?
littlelili Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 how about carrot and celery sticks?? Mini hot dogs? gluten free cookies?? Maybe chocolate milk (made with rice or soy milk)??
AlaskanLittle Posted September 15, 2016 Report Posted September 15, 2016 I have dietary restrictions too (wheat, corn, milk) I understand having no little food... Dino chicken nuggets, smiley potatoes. Think finger food... I enjoy baby puff (found in the baby isle in a tall container) these are quite yummy! Always read the ingredients label. There are gluten free animal crackers called KinniKritters by kinnikinnick these you can have. Also animal shaped pasta by Mrs Leeper's organic just for kids rice pasta. What about Cut up banana with some by on top. Ants on a log with cashew butter. Look for other nut butters you can both enjoy! Can you have nutella? That would be yummers! Also if you are craving cold sweets, sorbet is a yummy alternative! Carob is a wonderful substitute for chocolate! I found animal cookie cutters at a local store, but I bet Amazon has some. Make your own cookies... there is also gluten free mac and cheese by Daiya that's vegan, so no milk. Start looking around hippie isles at anything that catches you attention and see if you can have it. Do some research online as to where you can find the things you can have... it's a hard path, but you can do it! Hope that helps!
Guest QueenJellybean Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 can we get this going again? i'm always struggling to find little/kid food that are gluten-free & allergy-friendly! i love spinach & broccoli littles.
DaddysPrettyPrincess Posted December 3, 2019 Report Posted December 3, 2019 Frozen grapes Cream of rice (if thats your thing, some sugar for taste wouldnt be bad, or maybe rice pudding?) Popcorn Tomato soup with gluten free crackers to dip it in Fish fingers Cube or string cheese Baked apples
LittleTeacup Posted December 4, 2019 Report Posted December 4, 2019 I like all sorts of fruits! Carrot sticks are good too. I also like other veggies. I also eat cream of buckwheat, which despite the name is not related to wheat at all and is gluten free. And I love kasha, which is toasted buckwheat. (I make mine on the stove like rice.) Jello You could try those non-dairy frozen desserts. Some are made with coconut milk. I love smoked fish. Pretty much any food is a "little" food for me. If I'm feeling little, it doesn't matter what the food is as long as I like it.
