Guest TheLittlestGinger Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Hi-Hi everyone! Essentially I'm pretty new to this dynamic / lifestyle. I'm still doing my research and I'm slowly starting to introduce my partner to the idea of this kind of relationship. We've been together for over a year and he definitely shows a lot of signs of being a care giver but I think he still needs some more information and reassurance if that makes sense. I've been reading a load of threads on here and It's so wonderful to find a place with so much experience and knowledge. Plus from my interactions with people on here already you all seem super nice and inviting which has been so great! Thank you. I was wondering if anyone here was in a similar boat to me and started off in a vanilla relationship and then discovered DDLG. If so I would really love to hear about your experience and how you transitioned into this lifestyle. How did you go about discussing this with your partner etc... ?Also I was wondering if anyone knows of anywhere else that's good to get information. If so please leave me a comment and let me know! Thanks for reading! Hope this all made sense haha.Ginger! oxo 1
Spooky Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 Hello and welcome!!!!I think your best course of action would be to continue researching! Find out what it is about the dynamic that attracts you! Once you have formulated your take away from it, be blunt and discuss it with your partner! Tell you partner what it is you like about this dynamic and try to slowly implement those things into the relationship. There is going to be an adjustment period where you both find out what works and what doesn't! Lots of trial and error!!! Try giving the resource section a look as well, you may find some helpful information there! https://www.ddlgforum.com/forum/16-resources/ Best of luck!
HeCallsMePrincess Posted September 12, 2016 Report Posted September 12, 2016 my husband and I started out as a vanilla-ish type relationship, I guess. bdsm wasn't exactly new to us, and we always had this dynamic, we just didn't realize it had a name. after discovering this and doing some research we have just kind of got into it a little more, I guess. and most importantly, we don't feel like we're sick or wrong in what we do.
