I wrote this over 10 years ago long before I even knew about ageplay. My little has always been part of me. Sadly she has just gotten locked away more than once.

"Child Forever"

A child's body grows over the years.

Her knowledge widens with time.

Her mind gets left behind.

She becomes emotionally stunted and isolated.

She is captivated by love displayed on T.V.

The stories provide false ideals of family.

The little girl strives for love.

She teaches herself from textbooks.

Surely if she is smart, someone will want her.

She receives praise for a little while.

A glimmer of hope shows but quickly disappears.

Now the girl is left with nothing but herself.

She is confused when people pass her around.

What is she missing?

She watches her classmates with envy.

The teacher gives the report cards and announces Open House.

Children smile, grimace, and talk of what awaits them at home.

The little girl is left out knowing hers won't even be shown.

She heard parents punish their children because they love them.

She wonders why she has no consequences.

Is she not worth the time and effort?

She learns to mask her envy by bragging of her freedom.

Everyone thinks she is a lucky spoiled little brat.

No one realizes she is slowly dying inside.

As she ages her greatest desire continues to grow stronger.

She surrounds herself with older people.

Doubting the existence of love in her life, she puts it to the test.

She allows her grades to drop and boasts of the failure.

She secretly hopes someone will see through her masquerade.

She just wants someone (strict) to see her cry for help and rescue her.

Instead she gets the same old response.

Some people sugarcoat the ordeal.

Others give lectures or suggestions.

"If I... my parents would..."

"You need to have..."

"If you were my child..."

She agrees with all three but there is one problem.

People usually say it but no one is willing to do it.

No one wants to tend to a young adult, especially someone else's.

Her days end and the role-play begins.

For now she imagines different parent/child scenarios.

She drifts off to sleep pretending to be the child.

She may be an adult on the outside,

But she will always feel like a child.

Her life shall always be consumed with an endless search.
