Little Illy Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 ATTENTION LITTLES AND BIGS!Some of us in the Caregiver/Little community are starting a means of communicating with each other! We are trying to get an Awareness Week up and running! This is to help those in our community silently, and safely, show who we are to other Caregivers and Littles! Here is How:Starting September 26, 2016 those who wish to participate is to wear a piece of ribbon on their left wrist for the whole last week of September. We want to make this a monthly thing! So the last week of each month will be the time to wear your ribbon to signal other members of the community which role you are and that you are open to friendship! Each role has a designed color and needs to have the first letter of their role written clearly on the ribbon itself.Ribbon Colors:Daddies - Blue (with a letter D written on it)Mommies - Purple (with a letter M written on it)Boy Littles - Green (with a letter L written on it)Girl Littles - Pink (with a letter L written on it)Middles - Orange (with letter T written on it)Switches - Yellow (with a letter S written on it)We are trying to spread this as far as we can. Too many people in our community feel alone or segregated because it is incredibly hard to find each other. So help spread the word!Remember! This is a SAFE means of communication! Do NOT wear a ribbon if you do not want anyone (in the community) to know who you are! DO NOT mistreat this process as well! Just because someone is showing who they are does not give you the right to harass them as a fellow member!Lets make this movement work, everyone! We need to stick together! There are enough people out there who do not like our community! This will allow our support systems to grow! LET THE LOVE SPREAD! 15
~Lost_Little_Searching~ Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 This idea sounds fantastic! Thank you so much!!
Little Illy Posted August 26, 2016 Author Report Posted August 26, 2016 Im so happy you like this! Feel free to copy and paste this announcement to any forum involved with the CG/l world. ^.^
LittleKittyCat160 Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I will be doing this! im a little and kitten so im gonna wear red and in my hair as my ribbons are way to big for my tiny wrists!
Lιттℓє Ƙαℓαмιту Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I will most definitely participate in this! I think it is a great way to show support withouts being so vocal. Im excited to see if I make any new friends next month from this!
Guest Prat Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 (edited) I'm in. Mind if I spread this to Fetlife? Edited August 26, 2016 by Praetorian
Antoinette Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I might make a beaded bracelet instead of ribbon but this is such a cool idea! :3
zzz Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 This is pretty cool and I even have a friend who I suspect might be little irl..... but honestly I'm kind of scared to talk about this kind of thing with people in person. I don't know why, it still seems kind of embarrassing... 1
Little Illy Posted August 26, 2016 Author Report Posted August 26, 2016 Praet - Feel free to share everywhere! Same goes for everyone! I just ask you copy and past my original announcement, we need to keep this as simple and the same as possible! I understand the trepidation when it comes to talk to people about this particular part of our lives. Thats why this is such a great solution (in my opinion). You don't have to say a word and no one outside of the community will know! And then we can all support our community without the worry of outing anyone. ^.^
Guest rosie chan Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 this is actually radical. i think i'll sport the middle one since that's the closest i feel i can relate to any of the spectrums at all. this is exciting! i'm stoked! haha. i love this dynamic and all of you guys so much ^___^
Guest Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 Does it matter what shade or the color we wear? Like for me would pastel pink do or hot pink? Or whatever shade is fine?
Princess_Mica_18 Posted August 26, 2016 Report Posted August 26, 2016 I kinda want to do this but don't know what colour to wear as a non binary little
Little Illy Posted August 26, 2016 Author Report Posted August 26, 2016 Arya - The shade does not matter Just make sure it is clearly the color you are representing ^.^ Princess_Mica_18 - Im sorry we do not have a binary option just yet. After a few months, and when the number of supporters keep growing, I plan on adding colors for brats, non-binary, pet littles, etc. But these need to be established and well known before adding more. 6 colors can be a bit much to start out with as it is and we dont wanna over complicate things. As for now I would suggest wearing a pink and green ribbon together, that way it shows you are non-specific. 2
Little Illy Posted August 28, 2016 Author Report Posted August 28, 2016 Just a reminder! Everyone get their ribbons ready!
Cidlyn Posted August 29, 2016 Report Posted August 29, 2016 This is absolutely beautiful idea, I will be participating in this as a DD. Thank you for bring this to light.
Little Illy Posted September 1, 2016 Author Report Posted September 1, 2016 I'm so glad you all like it!
Cuddly Bumblebee Posted September 1, 2016 Report Posted September 1, 2016 I will do this too! ^^ I love the idea. Good reason to wear ribbons now I like them anyways. So 2 ribbons it is.
Little Illy Posted September 3, 2016 Author Report Posted September 3, 2016 Yay! I'm glad more people are participating in this!
BabyGirl32015 Posted September 3, 2016 Report Posted September 3, 2016 This is pretty cool and I even have a friend who I suspect might be little irl..... but honestly I'm kind of scared to talk about this kind of thing with people in person. I don't know why, it still seems kind of embarrassing... I know how you feel, its just as hard, if not harder, then coming out of the closet. People openly accept the gay community but they haven't quite taken to any other subcultures of the world so it makes its scary... I thought it was scary trying to talk to my best friend about it because I was afraid she would think of me as "weird" or "childish" in the end she basically said "That explains a lot (like me trying to hide a stuffy in my purse)" and hugged me then we went Little clothes shopping. It can be scary but sometimes its worth the risk.
SierraFox Posted September 4, 2016 Report Posted September 4, 2016 This sounds so cool! I'm definitely doing this! Will make a nice gift for Daddy too. *v*
Harley_Quinn Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 Gonna make daddy do it too! I can even make cute little ribbon bracelets :3
HeCallsMePrincess Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 ooh, I must buy some ribbon now. side note : sept. 26th is our anniversary, so that's kinda neat
Sleepybabie Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 Hello i shared this with a few people in the ddlg community and one person asked if you fall under more than one catagorie can you wear both colours?
