Hia, Kitty here,

im a Little and a Kitten, fairly new to the life style of DD/LG

I suffer from mental illness

Depression and Anxiety are the two main ones I have...

Sometimes they prevent me from going into Little/Kitten Space.

I'm also insecure and worry that when I get a daddy he wont like me and leave

For Little's, Daddies and Mommies out their what are your advices?

any tip's or trick that help you get into little space when you are suffering from mental illness?

Thankies!

I have Bipolar and although I am not diagnose with anxiety I do get very anxious (I know this doesn't mean I have Anxiety).

The best thing you can do, honestly, is always make sure you're in a nice environment (I know how hard it is to keep your room nice/organised when you're feeling low) and seek out therapy, it also sounds like you have abandonment issues. These could be from nothing or could have been caused by something that has happened in your life (of course, you don't have to enclose if it is due to something or nothing at all - it's just an observation and your privacy comes first and foremost).

I think talking to a therapist would help you immensely, often times going to therapy can feel weird and you don't like it but it will only work if you like your therapist and if you're ready for therapy. Until then just try to maintain the best living space you possibly can, surround yourself with people you love but make sure you have time to relax on your own. Just focus on being happy, then all the little things (pun intended) will come naturally.

i guess i might have abandonment issues as i was almost put up for adoption when i was younger but my grandparents took me in instead of me getting put up for adoption; that might be why im insure and worry constantly about people leaving.

thank you for the advice, my anxiety stops me from going to theory as I get attacks if I talk with people I don't know face to face in a confided area like an office.

I try to stay as positive as possible and keep my environment nice and happy, usually lots of plushies and bright colours and things I like.

I was diagnosed when I was a child.

Thankies for the advice!!

I suffer from anxiety too and I agree with all xAntoinette told you: focus on being happy, try to do things that you like and that make you feel calm and, if you can, talk to a psychologist. :)

Smoking pot always helps me with letting go of my anxiety and depression.

Other things I've found useful:

-reading (maybe some Shel Silverstein, idk I find his poems soothing)

-dancing to happy music

-making a list of all the things I'm grateful for

-drinking a cup of tea

i am what therapists like to call "severely mentally ill" yay (not really) and have been for the past oh...twelve years?? i've found the things that help best are distracting yourself. if you feel bad thoughts creeping into your head, go watch a movie or color or do something that makes you happy and will keep you distracted from the nasty thoughts that want to hurt you. i hope you feel better <3

Thank you for all of the advice!

I have a list of things that make me happy, I always keep it on me.

If the bad thoughts and feelings pop up I go down the list till I feel happy and energetic again.

- Drawing/Colouring

- Reading

- Singing/Dancing

- Music

- Watching movies

- Playing games

those are some of the things I do that usually help.

THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL OF THE ADVICE!!!

Meditation helped me with my anxiety, it's helping with my depression even. I've had them chronic since I was a child. Been exposed to abuse and stuff for a long time.

A good Daddy should have the ability to send you into little / kitten space despite your anxiety, that's one of the great things in this dynamic.

When I was first officially (had them since birth) diagnosed with bipolar depression, ADHD, CPTSD and anxiety a million years

ago I made a list of things that used/rocked my SENSES, things that I liked, really liked that I can always use to "disrupt" the

feelings. Our senses are very super powerful, at times, more powerful than mental illness. That is what you have to do, you

have to shake, cut, break, shatter, force through being held hostage by the feelings. I also used them when I had Stage 4

(then you die) cancer. I would take them with me when I went to get chemo for hours in the hospital. It works!!!! Try it!!!

.

-Smell:

-Put on my favorite perfume. I carry it with me in my purse all the time, so no matter where I am I can be released.

-Food smells, baking cookies, bake a pie, don't have to homemade, buy frozen, Then give them to your neighbors.

Whenever I smell bacon cooking it reminds me of my Nana and wonderful memories. I used wish they would make

bacon perfume. Coffee works for a lot of people.

-Sight:

-Your favorite colors, surround yourself with them. clothes you wear, paint your walls, paint your nails, case for your phone.

-Make picture books to hold in your hand, in your phone,on your computer..I collected pictures of things that I like and can

grab one of those books and look thru them at any time. Some of my books are butterflies, Paris, Kittens, cars, shoes, flowers

-Skype, facetime...get into the habit of connecting with people that you can SEE and talk to..You can take them everywhere

on your phone.

-YouTube channels. I have tons of kitten videos that I have collected. I even watch them at work with the sound turned off.

Make your own channels of things you like to see in motion.

-Light candles, if you have permission or get electric candles.

-Touch:

-Hug your stuffies. Hug a furry pillow, furry coat.

-Put on a silk blouse, a cashmere sweater, velour pants, sensual fabrics

-Get in the water, go swimming, take a bubble bath. lots of bubbles, warm water, cold shower

-Get naked and feel your soft sheets.

-Make yourself cum.

-Sound:

-Take the time to create youtube channels that will play through all the songs that you add by themes, artist, etc.

-Get into the world of ASMR, Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, a euphoric (orgasmic=my word) experience

characterized by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the

back of the neck and upper spine, precipitating relaxation.Type ASMR into youtube and you will find thousands of

videos that all have different sounds that help so many people. There is a whole group of ASMR artists that have

come up with some of the most amazing videos that all you have to do is listen to what helps you. Purring kittens do it

for me every time, but that is a boring one..

-Taste:

- Little snack bags filled with the things that take you into little space. I like anything gummy.

-A meal that brings back the best of childlike memories. Mac & Cheese. Mashed potatoes, cereal

-Ethnic food. Chinese, Indian, Thai, French, German, Mexican, not the run of the mill American.

-Something frozen...I keep lots of Popsicle's, all different flavors in the freezer.

I have so many more to share to all of you. Feel free to "friend" and ask.

Ima little with mental illnesses such as (in the words of the doctor) diagnosed with Manic anxiety, Manic Paranoia, Manic Depression, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder..

I think even with our different illnesses we all understand how one another feels.

What helps me is definitely smoking weed, but also thats not for everyone.

Surround your self with wonderful things that make you Happy and giggly.

Even with your daddy from the beginning he should know of your illnesses and that you will need him a lot as support and all. Etc

That will definitely weed out the "daddies" who "can't handle" etc

I surround myself with stuffies.

I have a unicorn that my daddy surprised me with one day that I barely go anywhere without. I sleep, eat, and live with it.

Sometimes I'll change my stuffie depending on how I feel and where I am going or even my outfit etc.

Also coloring books help a lot too!!

My grandmother got me a stress relief coloring book for those wit anxiety. Seems to do wonders!!

You will find many ways my dear that will help and of course you are in a safe place with others who understand. <3

Definitely wanna help as well.

Hope my info helps!! :)

Your wonderful little one!

Don't let anyone tell you other wise.

I have MDD, anxiety, and PTSD. I think because of having those I got into dd/lg, and I wanted to be looked after, and cared for. I mean I get anxious really easy that I don't want to eat but I force myself too because I don't want it getting in the way of my physical health, I've been to a group session to help me through, and it has a bit. I guess I feel it mostly up to me to help overcome my struggles :3
