Perseids Meteor Shower

For those of you interested in spacey things, or with kids that might be there is supposed to be an amazing meteor shower in the next few of days,  it will start tonight and be most visible in the predawn hours,  Thursday night and Friday morning are supposed to be the peak, with possibly 150-200 meteors visible per hour, it'll slow down to around 10-20 per hour for the rest of the weekend .  Northern hemisphere will get the bulk of the show, but southern hemisphere can still see a lot of it Links with information below

you can use the site below to find a rough idea of where to look.  Just set the location for a major city near you and the date time to around the time you want to watch.  Look around the map for the Perseus Constellation ( you may need to mess with some of the settings to show constellation names )

all depends on where in the world you are,  if you are in an area where its dark now you should be able to see some shoot stars.  for the best results shoot for tonight, after the moon has set before the sun rise.  give yourself about an hour to adjust to being in the dark with little light to get the best results.  for my area moonset is going to be around 12:47 on 8/12, sunrise is around 6am.  so I would want to view between those times.  you want it to be as dark as possible
