Guest yungbabylu Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 hello everyone! so i have seen a few disscussions on here about dieting and what is good and what is bad. i have been vegan for most of my life and talked to HUNDREDS of doctors about what is the good stuff to eat. the most common misconseptions with veganism are - nutrient defficency - it is a diet - all you eat is grass and ice and let me tell you NONE of these are true!! it is easy to become nutrient deffecient when being vegan because people dont know what to eat or dont eat enough. humans are meant to eat a HIGH carb LOW fat plant based diet. our bodies arent meant to digest animal products. also not to mention any way you think of it we are breeding animals, exploiting, raping and slaughtering them for OUR use. VEGANISM IS NOT A DIET!!! if you say you are on a vegan diet for a month just to lose weight you are on a plant based diet and going at it for all the wrong reasons. veganism is a lifestyle. people do it for their health, the environment, and the ethics. it is AMAZING that you are considering going vegan but it is a life long thing. NOT ALL VEGANS ARE HEALTHY VEGANS. just because you are vegan does not mean you are automattically healthy. nutter butters, lays chips, oreos, ben&jerry's dairy free ice cream and soo much more are ALL VEGAN clearly that is junk food and you can not properly sustain yourself on that kind of diet. as a high carb low fat vegan i eat so many veggies, fruits, fake meats and lots of rice and pasta a day. a lot of people have problems going vegan because they arent eating properly. if you are or plan on going vegan you will notice right away that you will need to eat a lot of food and more frequently because our bodies know how to properly digest it!!! and let me tell you vegans are not the "all knowing assholes that shove their opinions up everyons ass" vegans are trying to spread the message about how fucked up this all is. our earth is dying slowly and over 90% of the greenhouse gases are caused by factory farming. thank you so much for reading this! i am always open to questions about my life style IMPORTANT VEGAN MOVIES: health related vegan movie - Forks Over Knives evironment related vegan movie - Cowspiracy ethic related vegan movie - Earthlings PLEASE watch these videos even if you arent vegan they are seriously eye opening. thank you so much everyone have a lovely veggie filled day )
Guest annemarie Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 (edited) !!!!!!!!!TRIGGER WARNING FOR ANIMAL CRUELTY AND ANIMAL DEATHS IN THE MOVIES!!!!!!!!! ok now that i did that since it wasn't provided: please keep in mind that there are a lot of people out there (like myself) who would like to be vegan, but are unable to due to physical disabilities or other such problems. i mention this because i've known a lot of vegans and vegetarians that crucify anyone who doesn't think/have a diet like they do because they just assume that there is a way for everyone to be vegan/vegetarian and that's just not true. yeah it kind of sounds that way to me. being vegan/vegetarian is expensive as well, a lot of people can't afford it. i know you say you're not trying to "shove veganism down our throats", but when you judge someone for not having the same diet as you...that's what it sounds like. not to mention...it's really unfair for the aforementioned reasons. please don't assume that people aren't vegan/vegetarian because they think it's ridiculous because that's inaccurate and unfair. Guest PRINCESSE Posted August 6, 2016 Report Posted August 6, 2016 Hmm,what about a list of vegan foods and vegan little foods, recipes etc , could be a good way to get people to venture into veganism
Guest yungbabylu Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 i am not judging anyone by any means. i am just giving information to people that are persuing dangerous diets and not considering veganism. i understand that it may seem like people with disabilities cant be vegan but they can be vegan just like everyone else! as long as you are eating the right foods and enough of them i dont see why you shouldnt consider going vegan! and veganism isnt expensive at all!! it depends what you want to eat but i normally spend no more than $30-$70 on groceries a week! once you cut out all the processed shit and just buy veggies fruits and rice/pasta your cost will go down so much! the main things that are "expensive" in the vegan world are the fake cheeses and meats and those arent a must to be vegan anyway! it is possible for anybody to be vegan
Guest yungbabylu Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 as a little myself i LOVE baking. i save sooo much money not buying eggs and butter! i really like minimalistbaker and allrecipies for my vegan baking. i make TONS of pasta with some veggies and thats sooo good. making smoothies is really fun bc you can put in whatever u want! i always like to predict the colour before i blend it all hehehe. good luck xx

Guest yungbabylu Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 can you explain to me how? im just trying to help everyone. i dont want to be a villan
Guest annemarie Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 (edited) i don't want to turn this into a fight, so i'll just say this fast. my entire point of my original post is that, despite what you might think, no, everyone cannot be vegan due to medical and money issues and other things you may be unaware of, so to assume they can as well as insist that they can is inaccurate and unfair. for example: myself. i have a problem where i can only absorb the proteins my body needs through meat, so i have to eat it every so often because that's how my body is. another example: my family. they are house rich. meaning they have a big house, but that's all they can afford, really. they cannot afford to buy organic foods and meals because of this. also my godparents. they're not dirt poor, but they're also not the kind of people that can afford to spend an extra $30-$50 on food. and i know i'm not the only person in this sort of situation. nor is my family. so i say again, yes, it would be great if everyone could or wanted to be vegan because yes it is more humane and better for the environment, but, again, like i said, it's inaccurate and unfair to assume that that's actually the case. Guest yungbabylu Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 i dont want this to be a fight either! i think this is healthy conversation bc we are both educating each other. anybody can be vegan because humans are meant to be vegan that is what i am trying to tell you. people just make excuses as to why they are contributing to such a terrible industry. now i know you have medical differences from the average human, which is very difficult to overcome, i totally understand. i have a similar problem with iron deficiency in my body. i read your profile (its very cute btw) and i saw what you are dealing with. i have mental illnesses as well. by no means does this mean that i know what you are going through but veganism is a lifestyle anyone can pursue! i had so many doctors tell me i couldnt be vegan due to my problem and that i could potentially cause major damage to my heart. going vegan is all about transitioning properly and eating a lot of good foods. a study was done that shows an average human only needs 40-50 grams of protein a day. yes, meat will give you the required amount, maybe even more but its about what this protein does to you. meat tends to contain more concentrated protein, and amino acids, this causes the body to excessively produce the hormone IGF-1 which is a leading cause of heart disease and many cancers. if you eat lots of beans, rich greens and potatoes a day, you will get the required nutrients. now as far as price goes, it is not an extra $30-$50, it is only $30-$50 a week. i live by myself and i can honestly say i dont make a lot of money but not spending money on meat and cheese (which is actually quite expensive) saves me tons. especially once you cut out all the processed shit, you can save a lot of money. cans of veggies and fruits are always on sale. you can find lots of cheap fruit at your local grocery store. the average american spends $150 on groceries a week. you dont need to buy the fancy organic expensive shit or the fake meats or cheeses. most of the poorest countries in our world are vegan. now obviously some are vegan due to the huge cost of meat in their area. i seriously hope i am not offending you, i am just trying to help everyone the best way i can
Guest annemarie Posted August 7, 2016 Report Posted August 7, 2016 yeah.......i don't feel like you're really hearing me and taking in what i'm saying, so we're just going to have to agree to disagree.
