lilybell Posted September 18, 2016 Report Posted September 18, 2016 These are some great reads that I'll have to add to my list. I'm currently going back through my favorite book of all time, Catch-22. I LOVE THIS THING. 1
Guest LicklePrincess Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 I am a total psychological thriller addict so if anyone has any recommendations please pass them on. I don't really like the ones that have random romantic relationships thrown into the story line for no reason though
Guest QueenJellybean Posted September 19, 2016 Report Posted September 19, 2016 i'm currently reading ready player one by ernest cline. it's amazing so far omg. the books that are up next in my giant stack are as follows: the vorrh the circle opens series the lord of the rings trilogy mortal engines quartet and so many more omg. i'm hoping to reread the legend of holly claus for christmas Ready Player One is one of my favorite books of all time! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I just started A Whole New World by Liz Brazwell, which is a retelling of Aladdin in which he never found the lamp, Jafar did. She does a series of these, and the next one she's coming out with is Beauty and the Beast, so I'm really excited! I also need more manga recommendations, guys! I'm super picky about the art, but I've loved Absolute Boyfriend, Princess Jellyfish, Demon Love Spell, and Inu x Boku. ... I'm a sucker for fluff ones, if you can't tell.

I don't really like the ones that have random romantic relationships thrown into the story line for no reason though There's some romance, but it's not the underlying plot or even necessarily important to the plot, if that helps. But I highly recommend The Girl on the Train, and Before I Go to Sleep.

Guest Ginger Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 I thought maybe this would fit better here, since reading is a form of entertainment. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though! So I've ran through what books I do have to read and thought I'd come to you guys for new suggestions! I'm not horribly picky about my books and maybe others will find something that piques their interest here!
Guest Docotaco Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 Depends on what kinds of books you're talking about. Little books, Adult books, YA, Comics, Manga, ect..
Baby_squirrel Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 (edited) At the moment I'm reading The Fault In Our Stars, as I rewatched the movie and it made me want more detail, and How Not To Die by Dr Michael Greger And about ten minutes ago I just finished re-reading Tomie by Juni Ito Yes! I'm reading How Not to Die as well. Is really great. Most of my books are non-fiction at the moment. I'm also just finished Forks Over Knives. Starting: A Weekend to Change Your Life by Joan Anderson. Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease by Caldwell B. Esselstyn What can I say I enjoy a well written and engaging non-fiction more than anything. Lil' Miss Dolly Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 Currently I am reading "The women who could be King" which is about Hatshepsut - a Egyptian woman who rose to be a king in the 18th Dynasty. I am also reading a book by Stephan Hawking called "The Grand Design". I am not one for fictional books, I'm a history nerd and tend to read a lot of that kinda stuff. I however do have a dirty love affair with the Spook's Apprentice series by Joseph Delaney
Guest UnsoundMethods Posted November 25, 2016 Report Posted November 25, 2016 I'm currently reading & Sons by David Gilbert, and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Guest BeardedDaddy Posted December 9, 2016 Report Posted December 9, 2016 Nice! I haven't read those books. I think I will pick up the first one the next time I am at the used bookstore. I would highly reccommend them. It's got a good plot that follows well across the 3 books and does a great job of making you invest in the characters and want to know what happens them 1
Daisies&Donuts Posted December 10, 2016 Report Posted December 10, 2016 Interview With the Vampire... for like the 5th time. Does someone want to explain to me "The Siren" or are y'all going to make me Google it?

Fell in love with the movie first and then fell deeper in love with the books. Soooo beautiful... sigh... Lol. I'm actually surprised this one isn't much more popular in this community given the relationship of the main characters. 1
Tasha-Pasha Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 Lol. I'm actually surprised this one isn't much more popular in this community given the relationship of the main characters. Have you read her erotica that she wrote under A.N. Roquelaure? It makes 50 shades look like a harlequin romance novel... Which, by the way, I did not overly enjoy that series. I read them to see what all the fuss was about but I just didn't love them like so many people do. Which is okay, some people do not understand my obsession with the southern vampires series. Honestly I don't understand my obsession with that series of books but I just cannot stop re-reading them. 1
Guest Rukka Posted December 18, 2016 Report Posted December 18, 2016 I'm currently reading " Dead Mountain " its about a writer who is researching the mysterious death that occurred in the Dyatlov Pass incident, he actually goes to Russia and talks to the only surviving members of the group. Chilling stuff! 1
