*cracks neck, knuckles, and pumps myself up* Finally, my area of expertise!

Diapers are great way to bond with your little and further indulge both parties into the DDLG dynamic. They're not for everyone, but I think they add lots of enjoyment (and cuteness) to the relationship. Diapers do require that there be a lot of trust and comfort between the dom and little, especially if diapers are more than just a sexual object.

That being said, if it's your little's first foray into the diaper world, one of the best ways to ease into it is to try a pull-up style diaper, for multiple reasons. Here are some of my beginning recommendations:

  • Goodnites: My number one recommendation for many reasons. Firstly, they're relatively cheap (using that term lightly) as far as diapers go, and can be found in practically any store that sells baby diapers. They're pull-up style, and fit like underwear, which can help someone who feels a bit awkward about trying diapers. On the "absorbent" scale, I'd rank them as medium. They don't hold a ton, but for light accidents and bedwettings, you'll be fine. They also come in fun colors and cute designs, which is perfect for little space. They're pretty small when compared to adult diapers though, but they have gotten stretchier over the years. If your little's waist/hips are 34 inches or under, these should fit snugly. Also note: If you're not in the US, these are sold as Drynites.
  • Underjams: My second favorite. These are very similar to Goodnites in terms of style, fit, absorption, and designs. I do find them to be a bit less stretchy than Goodnites however, and they don't ride up as high. For example, if Goodnites' waistbands reach about half way up to your belly button, Underjams would probably reach up about 1/3 of the way. A benefit I've found for the Underjams over the Goodnites though is that Underjams are softer and have a more distinctive "diaper" feel.
  • Pampers Cruisers 7: This is my last non-adult-diaper recommendation just because of the fact that they're baby diapers and are very small. Although they're the largest/stretchiest baby diapers that I could find, if your little's waist/hips are above 30 inches, these will not fit without additional measures being taken, such as extra tape. These however are the softest of the 3 and of course have the most babyish feel and designs. I've found that they actually seem to hold a bit more than the Goodnites and Underjams, surprisingly enough. If you have a slim little, these are definitely fun to try.

Now if your little is a bit bigger or you want something that can hold more, I do have a few adult diaper recommendations that can be bought in stores:

  • Tena products. They range from discreet pull-up styles to full on tape-up diapers. My previous little and I have discovered that the pull-up styles don't hold very much, and also tend to feel more like awkward underwear rather than a diaper. The tape-up diapers are a bit better, but are also a bit more expensive and can be harder to find. I'd recommend Tena for beginners, but if you don't like them, than it might just be because of the brand, and not diapers in general.
  • Abena products. These too come in pull-up styles and tape-up styles. Similar to Tena, except they're less focused on being discreet and more focused on helping incontinence. These can hold a good amount, and definitely feel more diaper-like. However, because most styles aren't discreet, they can be a bit uncomfortable and noticeable to wear under clothing and in public, so I can't recommend it for being out and about. They're a bit more expensive than the previous diapers mentioned and can be bought online and commonly in pharmacies.
  • Molicares. These diapers have a distinct purple hue and are very similar to Abena, but come in slightly smaller sizes. Good absorption, but at the cost of discreetness and awkwardness. These are fun to wear for long periods of time as I didn't find them to be uncomfortable after being in a wet one for a while.

Some of the best diapers though are ABDL-branded diapers. These are meant specifically for adults who *enjoy* wearing diapers. They combine the cuteness and "diaper-feel" of baby diapers with the size and capacity of adult diapers. These can be very costly to keep a constant supply, and can only be ordered online. I'm relatively new to these so the only one I can safely recommend are Bambinos. They come in a variety of styles and can come in much larger sizes if you need them to. They hold a ton, and are super soft and comfortable to wear. They might be a bit much to try right off the bat, but if you two find that you like diapers, you'll definitely need to try Bambinos somewhere down the line.

I hope this wasn't too confusing and gave you some helpful ideas on what to try. If you have any more questions, just let me know! :)

I want to say Diapers go more into ABDL rather than DDlg. A lot of littles don't like diapers, so you might find more information under ABDL topics.

Good info above! I like drynites as it bridges the gap between diaper and underwear for people who feel alittle unsure starting out.

Id like to say its very well known that many ddlg littles dont fit into just ddlg or abdl there is plenty of cross over. Be nice everyone fitted into tidy little boxes but thats not how humans and kink are.

First off I would like to say thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this out for me! I greatly appreciate it! I think I will either be going with the goodnites or under jams :) ill bring it up with my little and see what she thinks. Sorry if this is rather tmi but would these be good for accidents like bed wetting? As in would it hold and not leak? My little and I aren't looking for her to mess her diapers but she does want to have accidents in them and she goes wet the bed sometimes in her sleep.

Once again thank you so much JohnApple!

Of course, my pleasure! Goodnites and Underjams would serve well for accidents, as that's what they're intended for! They hold a decent amount, but you can expect leaks if she's a heavy wetter, as they're not really meant for incontinence. In any case, they're a great starter diaper for any little as they do go hand-in-hand with the DDLG dynamic since they have child-like designs and feel. Let me know how you/she likes them!

I highly recommend ABUniverse for adult diapers. They company is fantastic when it comes to customer service, shipping, and their products are pretty top notch. Rearz is also another company that has cute and very absorbent products as well. Tykables is another company that comes to mind when it comes to cute ABDL diapers too. All of these companies provide discreet shipping.

Oh also wearing clouds has sample diapers that are pretty cheap so you can try out different kinds before you buy a whole pack.
