Guest sweetbabibunny Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 So Daddy and I have been talking about getting me a booster seat for the car. When in little space in the car I tend to try and move around a lot, and Im very short. Between 5'-5'4 (haven't measured in a while lol). And a lot of times seat belts choke me and things like that. We have been looking at adult car seats but that seems too big, bulky and expensive. So I've found cushions, and postiet cushions that when put together look like a booster seat. I was wondering what you guys think of this, as not only would it make car rides safer, and more comfortable for me, but also play into our ddlg lifestyle. Discuss away everyone!! Caregivers, littles and everyone in between!
Guest QueenJellybean Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 Maybe I'm weird, but I kind of think that's a super cute idea! I'd be willing to do something like that! I'm shorter as well (5'4''), and I'd totally be into something like this. They do make car seats for adults, you know!
Guest LavanderRabbit Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 This is a cute idea. I'm 5'5", but personally I would just prefer one of the little cute animal stuffy things that go on the seatbelt so it doesn't choke you.

Guest Ginger-Kit22 Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 I like Lavander's idea! If nothing else, the little stuffies to stop it from rubbing or choking would help a bit ^-^
Guest sweetbabibunny Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 Lol! True! The booster seat also sounds like a good option for us, because I cant even reach the headrest and the airbags would hurt me more so than help me in the case of a crash or accident because of my height lol

Guest Zips Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 This sounds like an adorable idea, great for making a daddy feel like a daddy and a little feel like a little!

WickedJax Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 I bet if you found a good sized box or something like it (Tupperware, maybe), you could fill the bottom with something soft but sturdy, Styrofoam maybe, then layer a sheet over that, then put a pillow slightly bigger then the box over that, so the sides hang out a little, and then take a nice fabric and wrap it tight around the whole thing, and get it to stay in place, maybe sew it or super glue it. That way you could have a nice arts and crafts day getting it to work, and decorate with whatever you liked!
Guest LicklePrincess Posted June 18, 2016 Report Posted June 18, 2016 I adore this idea! Just like you I'm a shorty so I always find myself choked by the belt, that and my boobies getting in the way pushing the belt up, and it really starts to hurt. So I've been putting the seat-belt under my arm which is totally not safe, I might try one of those belt covers . Thank you for the idea! 1
Guest algernon Posted June 24, 2016 Report Posted June 24, 2016 While they tend to be less "cute", you may find better luck looking for a backless booster seat where you would find seat covers and lumbar support cushions at your local auto store or supermart. I have indeed seen some in Costco, Target, and Pep Boys in the <$30 range. Also, just for the record for all shawties who think they're shorties, 5'4" is average height for an adult woman in the US, which is also higher than the global average. You might seem shy in stature next to a WNBA player or Swedish runway model, but you've got to drop a few more standard deviations before most women in the world would look down on you.
